What will be the Phone Number?
You can either port your existing phone number to the Light Service Plan to keep your current phone number, or we can provide you with a new phone number when activating the SIM.
Steps to Activate your Light Service Plan
First you'll need to have your Light Phone as well as a new Light SIM card on hand.
NOTE: Please do not insert your Light SIM card into the Light Phone until you receive a confirmation email that the plan is active, otherwise the phone will ask you to confirm your Light Service phone number before your plan is actually active. If you've already inserted your SIM card, please power the phone off, remove the SIM card, then power back on to begin with step 1.
- Login to your Light dashboard account, and press “Services”
- Or navigate directly to the Light Service Canada home page
- Click "Register"
- Fill in your first name, last name, email address and create a password, then click "Submit"
- Fill in the 6 digit security code that is sent to your email, then click "Submit"
- Click Login
- Enter your SIM card number, beginning with 89122, then click "Activate"
- Choose your preferred plan type (you can change plan types later if you decide)
- Review the plan details, then click "Select Plan"
- Enter your address, then choose if you will be porting an active phone number from another carrier, or if you want a new phone number
- If you are porting a phone number from another carrier, you will need your current carrier's account number, transfer PIN and account address
- Press "Save & Continue"
- Press "Proceed to Payment"
- Enter your payment information and press "Pay Now"
- You'll be directed to a payment confirmation screen that says "Thank you! Your payment was successful"
- You'll then receive a confirmation email when the activation is complete
Managing Your Plan After Activation
- To manage your plan, login to the Light Service Canada home page
- Press "Account setting" to view or update your:
- Name
- Home address
- Payment Method
- Or to logout
- Press "Subscription Details" to:
- View your phone number, next renewal date and full plan details
- Change your plan type
- Cancel the subscription
