Your Light Account allows you to log into the Dashboard and manage various aspects of your Light Phone II.
What is the Dashboard?
The Dashboard is a website portal to your Light account. You can log into the Dashboard from a computer or smartphone. The Dashboard makes it easy to import contacts, add or remove various tools from your phone and even manage your service plan if you signed up for one of our plans.
The Dashboard can manage multiple phones, which is important for parents who intend to give the Light Phone II to a child.
Creating your Light Account
You will be prompted to create a Light Account upon booting the phone the first time. You can also manually create an account from the device at any point using the following steps:
SETTINGS > ACCOUNT & INFO > LIGHT ACCOUNT > press "Create / Login"
You will be prompted to enter the email address you'd like to use for your Light Account and then enter and confirm a password.
Logging into Dashboard
Visit the dashboard at http://dashboard.thelightphone.com & log in using the email address and password that you set during check out.
Changing Your Light Account Email
To change your email address on your Light account, simply login to the dashboard and go to Account > Edit Account, enter your new email address and click Save.
If you are using one of our Light Service plans, your monthly billing is tied to your Light account email address. Creating a new Light account email separately does not transfer your billing, so you simply need to change the email in your original Light account if an email change is needed.
Logout of Light Account on Device
You can log out of your Light Account on the Light Phone II by going to:
SETTINGS > ACCOUNT & INFO > LIGHT ACCOUNT
Click "Logout" to sign out of your Light Account from the phone itself. You can now create a new account or log in to a different account.
